Some weddings feel polished. Some feel emotional. And some somehow manage to be both — with a whole lot of laughter thrown in. Shannon and Damien's Wedding in the Tower hotel was a beautiful one. They enjoyed getting ready separately with bridal and groom party from hair getting done to impromptu weight lifting in suits it was lighted all the way.
We slipped away for a little while after the ceremony — no stiff posing, no trying to make everything perfect. Just the bridal and groom party with a very enthusiastic veil and whatever the weather decided to do on the Viking triangle.
Away from everyone for a little while. No posing for the sake of posing — just walking, talking, laughing and letting the day catch up with them.
Back we went to their Family and friends to catch up. Drinks. Hugs. Speeches. People talking. Kids doing weird kid things. Someone laughing with their whole body.
Shoes came off. Drinks appeared. Whatever plans there had been for the evening quietly disappeared. People dancing into the night.
 THE BITS THAT STAY
Not just how it looked. How it felt.
